REPORT ON 3rd RUSSIAN-CHINESE SUMMIT

On the 21th of April, 2016 in Moscow at the EXPOCENTR the 3rd Russian-Chinese Summit "Cooperation in the Field of Investment and Technology for the Oil and Gas Industry" was held as a part of the National Oil and Gas Forum.

Students of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) Kurbonshoyeva Lesana and Letkova Polina took part in the round table "Oil and the BRICS: Investment, Technologies and New Partnership Opportunities". Moderators of the round table were the President of the the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group Irina Gaida.

There were a lot of influential speakers such as the head of the Direction “Analytical Center of the Energy Industry” of Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin, deputy head of Federal Anti-monopolistic Service of the Russian Federation Anatoly Golomolzin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Russian Academy of Sciencesas well as other Russian and Chinese specialists.

In the end of the round table activists of the GU SPE SC had the opportunity to present the activity of Gubkin University in the youth sector of BRICS in the oil and gas industry and to present the Youth International Association of Oil and Gas Higher Education Institutions of BRICS Countries and its online platform, created according to the results of the Second Youth BRICS Summit in oil and gas field held at the Gubkin University on 25-26 of November, 2015.

Through this event students had a unique opportunity to present their activity, communicate with specialists in the oil and gas industry and to discuss further cooperation in the youth area of BRICS in the oil and gas industry.
